St. Valentine’s Day

“Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love.” - Albert Einstein

Although this custom is created by a confectionary company, 14 February, known as the St. Valentine’s Day, became a day when women give chocolates to men in love.

Probably because of recent economic situation, not so many females are enthusiastic to send chocolates to men. A static shows that more than 50% of single 20′s – 40′s people don’t have dating partners…:(

Then, what is the next strategy for confectionary industry to motivate people to buy sweets?? One of the solution was to offer a treat yourself with a special chocolate or exchange chocolates with your female friends.

This triumph looks attracting women without regard for marriage status. When I passed the Patisserie Sadaharu Aoki shop at a department store, people made a long line to buy a macarons which a piece of macaron costs $3 or more! Nowadays, people need “Treat” or “Healing” as they feel the life is so stressful and they need sweets stuff.

In fact, I am also the one who needed sweet stuff for myself…

How do you spend your St. Valentine’s Day?? Hope it will be a great day!

Bon Voyage,

Chie
